so after looking for the perfect looper w/footcontroller ive decided on this one

i have yet to attempt to sync the KP3 to it yet and had a question

will the KP3 work as a MIDI master that continuously sends out MIDI clock?

i want to slave the 2880 to the KP3 mostly for tempo reasons. and apparently it works best when synced to a master that constantly emits MIDI. whereas others only send MIDI when their sequencers are started.

any help is appreciated

I'm in the exact same boat. I got an EHX2880 from ebay to work with my KP3, but never had time to build a setup out of it.

I suspect that the KP3 would continually send out midi clock. That very same feature confuses many people at first, because the clock continues to run even when you don't have a loop playing which makes it impossible to get a loop to play back from the start.

btw i am loving the 2880 so far. my foot cotroller should be here on Tues.
