CONNECTING THE KP3 TO 01X AND CUBASE

Hi all how are you?
It seems that I cannot manage to make my external effect hardware to work with the 01x and cubase sx3. I have the following hardware equipment:
Yamaha 01x MIXER
Korg Elextribe MX
Korg Kaoss Pad 3
Korg Triton Extreme
M-audio Luna Mic
I managed to set up the 01x within cubase. The audio and midi are working fine. What I am not sure of is: under 'device setup' in cubase what ports have to be active in midi inputs and VST inputs and outputs?
Let's come to my real headache I WANT TO SETUP THE KAOSS PAD 3 WITH THE 01X AND CUBASE to use it as an external effect unit. Can anybody please help me? I have set it up as follows:
I connected the inputs of the KP3 to the Stereo/aux out port on the 01x. Then I connected the output of the KP3 to channel 7 and 8 on the 01x. The rest I can't manage. How can I patch it from the 01x and how can I make it work in cubase?
