Oasys Delivery Status?

Post by Lukeofkeys »

Hi there!

I'd like to know what software is shipped with the Oasys! I mean are all the Synth-Engines like HD1, AL1, CX3, and this STR1 limitless to use? Or do I have to upgrade or activate these with paying extra money?
I didn't catch the upgrade system of the oasys yet, sry! ;)

Well, just for information, I'm currently not owning the OASYS... ;) ;/

Thanks

Hi Luke,

the Oasys is shipped with OS 1.3.1 and there are no limitations in using HD 1, STR-1, AL-1 and CX3.

The MS-20EX and PolysixEX, the MOD-7 and EXs3 (Brass library samples) you have to pay for (www.korguser.net), then you´ll get a code for unlimited use. Bevor that the engines will fade in an out (they are shipped with the OS, but with limitation.)

Hope that helped.

All the synth engines you mention come with the basic system: HD-1, AL-1, CX-3, STR-1. So do the EXs1 and EXs2 PCM expansions.

The LAC-1 (MS-20EX and PolysixEX), MOD-7, and EXs3 are paid upgrades.

Another question...

how seamless are the sounds (combis and progs) changing...?
I've got a triton and the sounds stop quite abrupt and the effects last till a "note off" is received, which very often produces unwanted artefacts,..

If you want perfectly seamless changing of sounds on your Triton or any KORG, then use the SEQ mode.

By assigning a selection of effects that suite all the sounds you need for the song(s) your playing, you avoid the cut off caused by the effect all changing.

Regards.
Sharp.
