Suggestions for using a Kaoss Pad 3 for FX?

This is going to sound horrible, but I have had mine for a year and a half, and I never use it. Mostly because I have a hard time bringing myself to go through the hundreds of different FX programs to learn them. I've tried a couple times, but I usually get kinda bored, or have a hard time figuring out when would be a good use of the particular effect.

Also, to add on top of the above reasons, I have a Xone 92 mixer, which definitely does not have the best FX send/return scheme. Just for the record, the way I have my KP3 connected is to have the Aux 1 output of my Xone connected to the input of the KP3, and I have the output of the KP3 routed into channel 1 of the Xone (instead of the FX receive input) so I can use the crossfader as a wet/dry FX control. Only problem with this setup is that it causes a slight delay of the audio into the FX channel, which can cause a phasing effect if I try to do a 50/50 wet-dry signal (which I suppose completely defeats the purpose, huh?).

Anyways, I was hoping that I could ask for some suggestions as to which FX programs people think are good to use (please use specific program codes, if possible), and when/how they like to use them (preferably with reference to EDM music, but I'm open to all suggestions).

P.S. I feel kinda lame for even asking this

Also, while I've created a thread, I may as well ask another question I have.

Say you're playing a sample loop on the KP3 and you're trying to mix it into another source. You've got the tempo at the right speed, but you're slightly out of phase. Is there any way to nudge, or pitch bend, the sample playing on the KP3 (other than having to attempt to use the Align button to restart the sample at the right time) to try to push it into sync with the other source?

to answer your 2nd question, yes there's a simple way to do this. you can temporarily increase or decrease the bpm on the kp3 (one unit up or down, SHIFT+BPM knob) until it syncs with your other sound source and when it does you just put it back. its the same thing as having pitch bend buttons.

however, i normally sync my cd players to the kp3 (not the other way around) since my players have higher resolution on their pitch faders so i can keep them playing side by side with the kp3 for a longer time with less work.
