So the actual file download is just 2 megabytes yes?. And you can put these on USB sticks, and load them in from there?.

Thanks

Regarding UK-Demo: what is the footswitch doing and what is the effect of sliding across the touchscreen? I don't think I can do this on my Oasys, can I?
Hi Charlie,
I'll try to answer before Stephen gets time. The pedal is a Korg PS-1 switch. It can be used as a sustain pedal, but I am not sure what Stephen is doing. http://www.korg.com/Product.aspx?pd=137

As for the XY function on the touch screen, this can be accomplished in similar manner with the OASYS Vector JS.

Hope that helps for now.
Cheers,
Eric

Hi Anthony,
Once you have the files downloaded, read the detailed instructions contained in the pdf guide. Then simply copy the PCG file to USB media and take it to your OASYS and load from there according to your preferences. You could do the same thing with a CD-R, but in my opinion, this is a waste of time and CD.

Eric

Great. It should be a straight forward loading. Just make sure you back up (save to media) anything that might get overwritten where you decide to load the PCG. Have fun.

Thanks Eric.

Not received an Email yet (little impatient me :D ) So do the files come by mail, or do you download them direct from the site (once logged in as "Your-Account" etc?.

Under "My Account Information", it says Order Status: Pending....

Thanks

The foot switch is latching the pad sound that is controlled by the chord triggers, so that I can let go of them and work the JS while the pad continues to sustain.

And the XY Mode (of the M3) where you slide your finger across the screen is exactly the same as the implementation of the Vector Joystick on the OASYS. So you can do the exact same thing, using the VJS - on all the combis, basically it is assigned to mix the 4 modules, so down removes the drums, up removes the bass, left/right removes the other two, and going diagonally gives you various mixes of the elements.

Thanx Eric & Stephen for your explanations - it's great to have this performance videos. They tell much more than all the written descriptions and are quite inspiring! 8)

Just loaded these in tonight, and wasn't expecting this!, totally awesome Combis', I've only just browsed a few - because you WANT to keep listening, playing, interacting with them - before going on to the next one (been on "Grand illusion" now for over an hour - and dig those Basses (human league rings a bell with this combi  )

Thanks Stephen and Eric

Glad to hear it - yep, Grand Illusion is a goody - I really dig the "air synth mallet" lead sound on that one. :)

Hey, Tony, thanks for the compliments. Yes, Grand Illusion is one of my favorites too. I remember when I was in the beginning stages of developing this combi, I hadn't named it ... until I dropped in the airy synth mallet timbre lead and set an IFX path to it. I guess my mood at the time was somewhat dark as well, so the title just seem to fit.

Have fun jamming away, but remember to get some sleep ...
