numark mixer, serato, kp3...how to connect?

Post by djelias! »

i have a numerk mixer, and serato. i do my recordings through serato when mixing. i recently bought the kp3 to spice up my mixes. which is the best way to connect the kp3. my mixer does not have effects in/out. im getting frustrated with the way i have it connected now. what i would like it to do is hve it connected so that i can get the effects and samples on the recordings. the way my setup goes it, table to the serato interface to the mixer, record out to serato. thanks for the help.

use a seperate interface ie berhinger uca 202 £25,i take it that the kp3 is inline from your mixer to your amp instead of recording through serato use audacity its free to download to. connect amp's rec out(if dont have record out buy rca line splitters and split from kp3 line out to amp/interface inputs) to interface input and interface output to a line in on mixer for playback, and usb to computer.test levels from mixer when recording mite take a few goes to get the recording level right this would be cheapest option or spend alot more on a new mixer, with the way serato's going best buy would be a mixer with full midi assign, mmmmmmmmmmm loads a money!!!
