Bas inversion

Post by Don Awareh »

I asked about the bass inversion earlier, but is there a way all the chords change with the bass? It sounds' weird that the bass changes, but the chords stay the same: example D,G, Bes (Gmin chord) press the inversion button the bass stay's on D but the chord stay the same(D,G,Bes) how can i change that?

Hi Don

Why would you want to change that? That is the way it should work.
The purpose of the option is to enable playing of inverted chords and have the bass follow the lowest note of the chord without changing the actual chord. This is perfect for songs with a bass run-down like "Whiter Shade of Pale".

If you want the chord to change then you need to have this option OFF.

Cheers

Hi,

The bass is good but the accompany stay's the same. it should change to the key's i press not to the standard chord.

In some songs the highest not is a A in F but when I press C, F, A i hear the standard chord F A C. i want the accompany to change with the key's i press.

Maybe it's clear now,

thanks

Ah! You are wanting to disable triad chord inversion. I do not believe this can be done.
However, I am now confused....
...in your example, when you play C, F, A what chord are you wanting/expecting to play???

I get what you're speaking of, however since I don't have the PAX here with me, my explanation will be at best "touchy".

Get into the menu where you can select chord-pattern 1 - 2 - or 3 and select 1 (I believe). In this mode the chords will sound exactly what you put in, regardless of bass-inversion or not. Afterwich you select inversion "on". Now you should have both input chord=output chord and bass inversion.

Good luck.
