when the KP3 is connected via midi to a sequencer does it

does it start sampling only when the sequencer has started running or is the sampling completely independant.

I'm thinking about hooking it up to my mpc and I want it to start sampling at the write time

im not 100% sure about this but i think the kp3 only provides midi clock and CC, so i think it isn't problable that they will sync-start
