Action/Weighted key Modification??

Hi everybody! I recently purchased a very nice mint condition Extreme 88 and REALLY love it. However, Ive been playing a synth action board for the past 3 years exclusively and am having that impatient period of getting used to the weighted keys of the Extreme. Is there a way a tech could possibly make the action lighter just a little? Is that possible??

Velocity Curve is on 8.

If there would be a way to do that (and I don't think there is, but still), you would ruin very good keys.

Instead, buy yourself some midi controller with synth keys and connect it MIDI to your Extreme. That way you will have keys you are used to for constant playing and weighted keys for practicing.

It's good to practice on weighted keys. With practicing on synth keys fingers get lazy. When you get better on weighted keys you'll be even better on synth keys.

Just my recommendation.

Buy a cheap synth-action MIDI controller, set it to use the Triton Extreme's global MIDI channel, and connect the controller's MIDI Out to the Extreme's MIDI In. I doubt a tech could make the action lighter, and even if they could, it probably would be cheaper to buy a controller that suits you more.

You'd get a hard life with Yamaha, CME or Fatar weighted boards... for me - an exclusive toy synth action (a very lite one) player for almost 15 years - RH-2 (the Korg action first time used in TEX88) is a very versatile action for both synths/organs and piano. Belive me I got used to it quickly and I don't see an actual reason to return to my synth keys nowadays; it is surely more fatiguing but still much lighter than the competition and for the precission and control (mechanics) I would not exchange it for anything lite. Only for digital dynamics I would.

Ahhh yes. I once had a Yamaha S90 and the action was even heavier. I actually got rid of it soley because of that. Yeah, I'll just give it some time then. Patience was never one of my virtues LOL. Thanks everybody for the replys!
