Using a MIDI pedal to act as a hold button with KP3

Post by mikeleonhart »

How abouts can I set up a MIDI pedal which will act as the hold funcion whenever it is pressed?

And where can I buy one from?

(Im using the KP3 with two keyboards and im running out of hands!)

Lots of people, myself included, have been using a Behringer FCB 1010 footpedal board, which works quite nicely. You can program it to do just about anything the KP3's MIDI implementation will permit, including triggering samples A-D, controlling the pad's X-Y axis, etc. as well as hitting the HOLD button. A search through the forum archives should get you more info.

That sounds great, thanks for replying.

I'm not sure if i'd want something as large as that though, on stage im already using a lot of equipment.

Is there anything smaller which can perform as a Hold and also Record?
