Hi Korg.

Is there a possibility of asking either Jack Howtop (senior voicing manager) or one of the KORG reps or techs responsible for the EXIs for the OASYS to please contact me as soon as possible. I am a totally blind professional musician, composer and sound engineer from the UK with the first speaking OASYS workstation. yes that's right. I'm the first blind OASYS owner with a custom designed application mounted on the OASYS OS which works as a screen reader.

if someone from korg can somehow contact me via email at lewisjbrock@aol.com I would very much appreciate it. it's a matter of importance.

yours with thanks

Just out of curiousity what is it that you need to know. We're quite a knowledgeable bunch here and may be able to help you.

Oh and this screen reader you mentioned, have you actually managed to hook your own daemon into init.rc or something ? What form does this custom designed application take ?

the screen reader code is highly complex. a series of linux instructions, graphical recognition hooks which require updating and modifying with each OS update, an entire speech lib and more. not something I would recommend passing onto people as it takes a long time to install to the OASYS interface. I've background in accessibility development and do some freelance work for Steinberg and Apple etc.

the matter regarding direct contact with someone from KORG USA is a direct support query which I don't want to go into depth with on the site.

You may not be aware that this is an independent forum, it is not run by Korg. Hence your request for contact with specific individuals from Korg will probably go unanswered here. Dan and Jerry are indeed from Korg, but this is not a Korg owned forum. It would be more worth your while directing your question to Korg via their web site or through phone support.
