I've converted a whole bunch of sounds from the R3 to Radias, which is somewhat simpler task than this and that took a lot of code development/testing and QA'ing of the final Programs to do well. So I can testify that these conversions are not just a "a quick copy and paste" no matter how similar the two pieces of equipment might seem.
This program set is outstanding. Such high quality programming really showcases the first rate PCM multisamples within OASYS.
The pianos are exquisite - natural and full sounding. The Yamaha CP80 programs are to die for. They confirm my suggestion on another recent post that the basic CP80 multisample is in OASYS is excellent. The Fender Rhodes, Wurlitzer, clavs, organs... are all just gorgeous. The first organ in the second set is my favourite - I'm running out of superlatives to describe these programs.
This soundset makes the OASYS a keyboard players dream machine – without the need for extra samples (Karo is still great of course!!). It’s just a pity these programs are released at this late stage - they alone, IMO, would have created a new reputation, and a separate market for the OASYS.
Nevertheless, they are icing on the cake for all of us. I can't wait till the next sound set. Korg have shown off again just how excellent they are at programming. There are dedicated sample packages that do not sound fundamentally better, and in some cases do not sound as good because they do not have the programmers.
Thanks for this fabulous sound set - I will certainly be using it a lot.
