Bouncing Audio Tracks ...plus a question

Post by awatu »

Hi All...

Can anyone tell me where in the manual they cover ping-ponging audio tracks? ...Or if it's not too much trouble maybe you can run it by me.

Also, I'm having an issue whereby when I'm recording audio tracks and I have it set for "overdub" it overwrites ...I think I need to take the Oasys in for a check-up ...What say ye?

Thanks, guys ...I really appreciate any, and all info you can throw my way.

Greetings & Well Wishes,
Steve

Overdub mode is for the MIDI tracks only ... see the param guide :

Overdub
Select this method when you wish to add data to a
previously‐recorded track. (except for audio events)

As for bouncing audio tracks, I am going to have to offer a rough guess rather than a definitive answer - i.e. I don't know :-)

You could try using Bounce All Tracks to Disk page menu command (having muted all tracks that should not be included in the bounce!) and then imported the resulting wav file to an audio track that is setup to be stereo.

A much better guess for the second question ... check out the "Auto HDR/Sampling Setup" page menu command and the option it offers called "Bounce Audio Track". See the param guide for more info. I need to check that out more myself, looks useful ! :-)

It looks pretty self explanatory :

Hey Ther, Daz...

Thanks, my friend ...It's a least good to know that my Oasys is operating normally ...By the by, I finally found the bouncing instructions ...They start on page 106 of the operations guide ...Thanks, again.

Keep in mind that on the TRACK EDIT page, dropdown menu, COPY MEASURE is a powerful feature. Use it to copy Audio/MIDI tracks from one song to another.

Indeed, ...Thanks, Mike ...Yeah, that is one function I'm familiar with ...Back in the day I used that a lot in my Trinity ...It was a great way to get very lush vocals when I only had four tracks to work with by making several copies of the song, recording what I needed in each ...bouncing tracks and copying measures back and forth from song to song.
