Nano Pad and Oasys ?

Post by SoulBe »

Hi,

does anybody know if you can connect the new Korg Nanopad to the Oasys? I thought it would be nice to have some more pads with chord trigger function and a x/y touch pad, but it has an USB connector and in the description they say it is for pc.

Thanks

thanks you for the quick response and support in this forum.
How did you connect it via USB or is there an USB / Midi Converter?

Thats OK..!

I just plugged it in the USB port at the back and got power on all 3 of them. I tried playing with some settings in Global to see if it would pick up and went through all the scenes to see if there was a CC# or note or anything that might respond, but nothing.

I'll be happy to stand corrected on this, but it's my understanding that USB on OASYS is for disk storable data transfer only. There are no drivers or OASYS options to assign operating system/MIDI features to USB, in or out.

Would be nice if Korg could make a driver for Oasys for nano pad
this would be an amazing feature but Korg doing this for us might make them go bankrupt being the Oasys coasting only $99 dollars.
Korg you sold us this dream and we bought into it don't let it turn into a nightmare. We are musicians for crying out loud this is our whole life here!
We didn't spend thousand of dollars for a hobby we're trying to make hit records with this thing. Come on somebody help man :!:

Well, as far as the M3 also has USB connectors it should be an argument to be considered by KORG, to make the NANO Pad usable for all their instruments with USB jacks
