I have a few issues that Im struggeling with
I got My kp3 at Guitar center, and when I got it home I realized that it had ben previously open, and more than likley used, or returned
Anyways, for starters im keeping this simple just using headphones and no external devices. just the kp3
In order not to sound like they guy who doesent wanna read the manual,
My big concern is that I am working with a piece of equipment htat was damaged or that a ton of the presets have been removed and such,
I am wondering how many sounds the kp3 can internally produce, I seem to only be able to hear I believe a few synth sounds and a few drum sounds, i would say maybe 20 total, not very much.
and last I was trying to sample the 1st synth patch, and I figured out how to do a 1 shot sample, BUT if i tried to sample a loop, I get nothing
thanks for the help guys!

the kp3 is an effects box and mini-looper/sampler.
there are a few drum patches and a few synth patches.
"My big concern is that I am working with a piece of equipment htat was damaged "
that's a conversation you should have with guitar center.
"or that a ton of the presets have been removed and such, "
that simply makes no sense in relation to how the KP3 actually works. there are not any user-editable functions...
"In order not to sound like they guy who doesent wanna read the manual... "
"I figured out how to do a 1 shot sample, BUT if i tried to sample a loop, I get nothing "
check the manual again. recording a loop is possibly the single easiest task that can be done on the kp3,
set BPM to desired speed.
press "sample"
A, B, C, D start flashing, press one.
wait.
it should automatically start looping.

easy now easy - these are simple mistakes to make. kaoss pad 3 is an effects unit with some built in samples, such as the few drums and synths you mentioned. because these are on board, you need to resample the whole output of the kaoss pad, this will record the drum/synth parts into a loop. to do this hold the shift button when pressing the sample button, then press a,b,c or d to record the loop. hope this helps!
