I am trying to sync my KP2 to max/msp, as to create my own effects to control using the touchpad.
It is easy enough getting a MIDI readout using the <midiin> object, but the stream is pretty much nonsensical. Does anybody know of any way of getting an output corresponding to a co-ordinate style of data (i.e 110/127)?
Its driving me crazy, the y-axis numbers have some sort of structure, but the x-axis is just going mental...
Thanks!

in normal mode
x-axis = Control Change 0C xx
y-axis = Control Change 0D yy
there are a whole bunch of numbers being thrown out but if you want x and y they should be on those channels.
my monome emulator for the Kp3 has a midi input that reads data and assigns a grid coordinate. it's open source if you want a look.
