I really like that Korg PA80 sound you get in your face when you play it. But I can't get it exactly the same from a PA. I have a powered Yamaha mixer and Yorkville 15 inch speakers in a cabinet.
I'm about to buy some powered speakers. 8 inch and the cool thing is they weigh 16 pounds each. But I still don't know how to re-create that PA80 sound outboard. Maybe I'll get lucky. maybe it just takes more EQ practise.
any suggestions?

thanks
paul

Hi Paul

I had the same problem with my PA50.
A lot of it is down to EQ'ing but ultimately it depends on speakers/amp combination. I too have a Yamaha powered mixer and have tried several brands of loudspeakers and found major differences in them. I eventually found JBL's JRX 115 speakers to be able to reproduce the PA 50 as close to its own speakers. Mackie's S series although big and awkward works beautifully too with very EQ'ing to do.

Hope this helps
