Pads volume

I just tried to work on new pads and I am concerned by the low volume. Although I raise the volume to 127 in the recording process, and raise it again to 127 during the listening process, it is still weak. Basically my pad at 127 is equivalent (or sounds the same in terms of level) to all stock PA800 pads at 64.
Is there something I am doing wrong?

Hi,
in Pad Record
Press Menu Button
Choose:Pad Track Control
Check Expression,
if it's already at 127,
your only other alternative would be to increase the Velocity.
Choose Pad Edit
Velocity Tab
Increase by " what ever"

If you're using pre recorded midifile phrases from another source,
these phrases( ie from BIAB, PSR Styles etc) may not be recorded at the same high velocity that Korg phrases are recorded at.

Check the event list editor & you'll see. I've used phrases that have been recorded at an average velocity of 40 to 50. The velocity is too low too blend in well with Korg styles which are recorded at much higher velocities.
No matter how high I turn up the volume or expression, they'll still be drowned out.
Only solution I've found is to increase the the velocity.
Experiment & start with a lower amount, you don't want to find all of a sudden all the notes in the track are at 127.
Also be careful using RX sounds. Velocity affects them.
