A good case for a Korg M3?

I'm about to have to travel a lot with mine, and I was wondering what you guys suggested. I've been looking on the internet, but not many cases have the Korg M3 listed under what will fit inside them.

I use the SKB flight case, which is higly recommended. But I have an M50, which is very petite in comparison. It does have lots of room when I fit the M50 inside. You can check the spec sheet and then look at the SKB page where they have the inner dimensions.

The above case is a VERY good case and is airline friendly. If you will have it in your possession (nobody will be throwing it around), this is one to consider. It's the one I'm using.

It's a lighterweight plastic but also works well. My M3, M50, and Triton Pro all fit in it snugly. Their new system for holding keyboards is great.

Either way, I would avoid anything with straps that go over the keys (one quick shake could snap keys off at the base. And SKB is one of the best (and most economical for the quality).

Can you describe the abuse it will see? Car? Van? Roadies, etc?

This is the one I use for my Triton Pro and it's overkill.

It'll be traveling by plane, car, hand, and probably many other things. The one from the first link you posted looks good. I'll read more on it.

BTW, the model you posted is exactly the same I'm using. Isn't it amazing the corner cleat system?

Oh, I have a question. Mine came with no key locks. It does have a plastic stud in the latches, but where can I buy the cylinders with keys?

I didn't look into whether you could get them. I'd imagine you could. I'll get a hold of them and find out early next week.

That cleat system rocks. My SKB flight case for my Triton Pro had this system where you keep building out the sides with styrofoam "lego" like things. Works great for keeping it snug but has two issues: makes it impossible to add a different size keyboard later and the foam legos come loose and get crushed when you add/remove the synth.

For someone who doesn't fly and handles their own gear, it's perfect. I didn't like how it was oversized at first, but now I love it because EVERY synth I own will go in that thing and adjusting the corner cleats takes just seconds. I'm going to see if I can get another set so I utilize the extra space.

What would one suggest for the 73 key. Will the M3 slide around in the 76 key cases or will they do. I also have the Radias-R on the keybed so I would want foam on top and bottom.

I use a Calzone/Anvil Road Case for my M3. It offers great overall protection but make sure you get it with wheels if you are going in this direction in choice.
