why I can't have samples in my memory?!
I've put sample of some korg keyboards and make program and save PCG, but when I wanna load them they are not inside any more.
Where do I store that or 'm doing something wrong.
I've have Triton Extreme and also should work on Oasys the same

Saving a Program file (PCG) will not save the samples. Save as an ALL file, instead. This will save your programs, samples, songs, etc. together.

When you load the programs, a pop up box will give you the option to load the samples, too. The files must have the same name, which saving as ALL will do for you.

Hi Mike,

one more question about this:

I found out, when I add new samples I have to use the "save all" command and give the file a new name, otherwise the samples are not saved. Is there something I´m doing wrong?

And sometimes when I load, the samples and the created programms are there but not linked correctly though I used the "clear" and not the "append" command. Did this ever happen to you?

Thanks
Soulbe

You aren't doing anything wrong. I just verified what you said. It seems that you are doing the right thing by renaming the file. I never noticed this, because I think I kept changing names.

I've had broken links when combining sample libraries, but don't remember that happening with an original sample set. You may want to check TRANSLATION and reload.

Now, when I merge libraries, I go to DISK Mode (LOAD) and select LOAD PCG(RAM) AND SAMPLES. This allows you to append to a specific bank that you want to keep. If Karo Strings are in User Bank B, you can append Granular Atmospheres to Bank C, with the associated samples.

Sharp has the most experience with sample housekeeping, so maybe he will chime in.

I have one more question.
I save some samples to programs (user001, 002, 003, etc...).
How can I load all programs at one time (not one by one)?
Thanks in advance.

When you load a PCG file (you will also be prompted to select the sample KSC file, if they are the same name) all programs for the entire OASYS will be loaded.

Alternately, you can load the KSC file (samples) and the OPEN the PCG file to load a single bank. You can OPEN it further to load individual programs.

And only God knows how this can be helpuful! Loading individual programs/combis/samples on-the-fly is a must for me!

Did you save as an ALL file? Are you loading from the internal hard drive? Have you gone to SAMPLE mode to see if there are samples in the memory slots?

I save ALL always, from internal hard, of course.
Samples are there because when set them before saving everything works fine and when I wanna load them noop!
Sharp send 'orinoco'' (D 50 PIZZAGOGO) sample and I' ve put them inside and he also send PC. and when I power up O this sample is inside andmne are not?!

Did you read this:

Did you try adding your samples to Sharp's sample? If you did, then you should try changing the name of the file (like add a number "2" to it), so that the new samples can save.

Your sentences are too cryptic and don't have enough info. Can you tell us exactly what you are doing? Go through the whole process, so we can figure out what you are missing.

Example:
Mike making this up wrote:I load Sharp's "Pizza" sample and programs. Then I plug my Roland Fantom outputs to OASYS inputs 3/4. I set up a level and sample 12 notes of the acoustic guitar. I loop, trim them and make a multisample, which I convert to a program.

I save as an ALL File, called "Pizza" (again). The next time I load the ALL file to RAM, my new acoustic guitar program is there, but not the new samples, only the Sharp sample.
Again, I'm making that up, but that is the kind of detail we need. I would then tell you to save as a "Pizza2" ALL File, which would make a new set of files.

..sorry Mike, I think I understood what to do...
I've putt all my samples load them, then make programs..and then copy samples to folder on hard disk and gave name to everything ''Gorky''.
I was doing that yesterday evening and didn't get to try what I did..so I'll do it today..but in general..I think this is it.
