OASYS, & Combi's - interesting, basic ideas.

Certainly interesting but I'm surprised you enjoy the sound quality. I found it distinctly cheesy. One caveat though I was unable to download the HD version, perhaps this sounds better.

I think it will be awhile yet before something that harkens back to an organ stlylistically would have any mass market appeal. Such a design is still firmly in the uncool box for recent generations. Therein lies the problem, a product that cannot command mass appeal and accrue the sales volume that goes with it will be stillborn. At the end of the day it was volume of sales that saw the untimely end of the Oasys concept. If it were still selling by the shedload Korg would still be making it.

Whilst I know many on here are technically very adept I can't imagine many (and here the emphasis is on MANY), people developing the skills to render such a musical interface useful to them.

In short I don't get it but I'm willing to be convinced
