- I want to import a style from "SetA" to "SetB"
- My current "SetB" has up to PCM "RAM40" installed
- My "StyleA" that I want to import from "SetA" is using "RAM35" and "RAM36" from some of the kits. This in turn overlaps my current PCM "RAM" locations
- How can I successfuly import this style to my "SetB" with all its kits and samples ?
Thank you for your expert advice.
Addign a style from a previous set to a new one ...

Hello rbalaa,
To remove a user sound complete with all it's samples, let's assume for this explanation that the user sound is stored in USER1 and is called "MySound1".
1. Press the MEDIA button, then touch the tab called "Erase"
2. In the bottom left hand corner of the screen, select the SSD-S device.
On the screen a folder will be shown with the words "ALL" to the right of it. The screen will look something like this:

3. Touch the ALL folder so it is highlighted.
4. Touch the on-screen button saying "Open".
On the screen will be shown a list of folders, and it will look something like this:

5. Touch the SOUND folder so it is highlighted.
6. Touch the on-screen button saying "Open".
Three folders will be displayed:
USER01.PCG
USER02.PCG
USERDK.PCG
7. In the example I mention where the sound we want to erase is stored in USER01, touch the USER01.PCG folder so it is highlighted.
8. Touch the on-screen button saying "Open".
9. A list of all sounds stored in USER01 will be displayed. Scroll through the list until you find "MySound1".
If for example it was the second item on page P2 of the menu when you select sounds, then it will be item number 10 in the list. This is because there are 8 sounds displayed per page, with up to 16 pages in each of USER01 and USER02. So the formula for finding the sound number is "[Page number*8] + offset within page".
10. Touch the sound "MySound1" so it is highlighted.
11. Touch the on-screen button saying "Erase"
The sound "MySound1" and all the user samples that it uses will be deleted. Note that if the user samples used by "MySound1" were also used by another sound called "MySound2", then you will also have to erase "MySound2" before the samples are deleted.
I hope this helps you.
Best regards,
Rob

Hi rbalaa,
First of all make a BACKUP of YOUR DATA...
MEDIA / UTILITY / FULL-RESOURCE BACKUP or:
MEDIA / SAVE / ALL / "check all boxes to "on" !
How to DELETE all the SAMPLES in the PCM-RAM ...
* SOUND-MODE...
* press RECORD
* PAGEMENU on the upper right Edge
* chose DELETE
* in following screen press the 3.rd RADIO-Button:
... ALL SAMPLES AND MULTISAMPLES...
* give "OK"
* RECORD EXIT -> YES
After THIS you have to (RE-)LOAD THAT ( SINGLE ) SOUND - SET, you want to HEAR.
(I am NOT SHURE, that deleting sounds from PCG-Folder leads into destroying SAMPLES in the PCM-RAM... i made other experiences) !
While doing this, be careful, that the SOUND not to be in SAMPLE - RAM isnt contained anymore IN THIS SET (e.g. prepare this sound to be deleted in the SET).
THE SAMPLES from the KMP folder are loaded parallel with each single sound, which references PCM-(RAM)-Samples.
If you're doing this with another "prepared" PCG-SOUND SET, then you can MIX both SAMPLE - SETs ... it is depeding on the preparation of the SOUNDS, which reside in the USER01/USER02/USERDK - SoundKits !!!
Even LOAD / OPEN / LOAD / Single Sounds from other sets is ok, until the
SAMPLING RAM is once again FULL.
So in one SHORTCUT-Sentence:
Deleting ONE SOUND WITH SAMPLES should be savest way to be done by CLEARING ALL
SAMPLES AND RELOADING SOUNDSET MINUS THE "ONE" to BE DROPPED SOUND
... or you're shure of what single-Samples all have to be deleted (very difficult to determine (MS0000001... MS00000xxy)!
Checking available SPACE in SAMPLE RAM is like this:
* SOUND MODE
* RECORD
* MENU
* MULTISAMPLE
* 4th. TAB-Page: call SAMPLING INFO
* In the RIGHT SEction of Screen look to : AVAILABLE MEMORY !
