Keyboard stand
is there a top tier keyboard stand i can get that can hold this thing? the one i have doesnt work right and what i wind up doing is tilt the left and right side inward to get them closer together so the mk fits on it. This is a crappy solution as the mk is always wobbly. how do you guys prop this thing up at live shows?
ps i have a korg x50 on the bottom which is why i am curious about putting the mk on the top

Since top tiers have to attach to the bottom tier, and you didn't say what kind of stand you have, then there's not much someone can suggest other than a new stand entirely.
I like the Ultimate Support V stand, with second tier, but your mileage may vary. I use it in a low position and the top tier are can be tilted inwards without a problem at the attachment, because the arms remain parallel with each other, even when tilted downwards.

o im sorry i guess your right. i have a "on stage stands" classic double x with their universal second tier. i hope that helps at all.

I use an x-stand (well, two actually).
you should be able to angle the supports for the second tier, but you do have to then have your lower tier quite high and narrow. not too narrow though.
I used to mount my MicroKorg on the top with a TR on the bottom. now the MicroKorg has been replaced by a Radias R which also fits nicely.
I have a picture somewhere.....

I use a Hercules Z-stand with a top-tier for my 37-key Moog Little Phatty.
It should work as well for the XL.
I LOVE Hercules.

I use one of these. I have my Nord Stage 73 on the top, and my lighter Korg TR 61 on the bottom, and it's rock-solid.

kanthos that keyboard stand is pretty sweet but discontinued
the ones that are left seem a bit pricey. Defrag thanks for showing the hercules ill deff look into it. i tried x trades idea once at a studio where they had a bunch of x stands and i just didnt feel all that safe because some of my songs in my band require slamming on low notes with an orchestral effect and it felt like my x50 was gonna just flip off. but i guess until i can afford a new stand ai joe's idea (which for some reason i never once considered) will be the way to go lol. Thanks guys for the help!
