Using Kaoss pad3 with M-audio firewire 410 and ableton live

Iam having problems related to using the kaoss pad as an effect on ONE of my tracks in ableton.
If I for instance want to apply some delay effects from the kaoss pad on a audio track with hihats without affecting the other tracks, I end up getting all of the tracks affected by the kaoss pad effect. I know this might be a routing issue, but I am a complete newbie when it comes to channel routing both in ableton and the setup of outputs on my soundcard, so if any of you guys have any experience with the same setup (M-audio firewire410 soundcard, kaoss pad 3 and ableton) and some help to offer I will be very grateful.
