A stupid idea : have you verified that the hold button is off ? If it is on, the last place you touched remain litten on the pad. It could only be a .kpa file on your SD card, launched at startup, with the hold button on.

hold button is def not the problem.. i think its most likely the sensor or the glass, if they're one and the same, then its the glass touch-pad surface. odd thing is it has been very well taken care of, barely a scratch. ill have to do a video and post on youtube to give a clear pic of what's going on.

you know what, mine used to do that as well when it was brand new, but it was the sticky clear sticker thing that was doing it, i took it off and replaced it and it was perfect.

didn't think of that, I just tried it, was really hoping that would fix it, but same thing with and without the plastic, still haven't be able to find a place where I can purchase a replacement screen, anyone have an idea of where I can find one?

so, im working on finding a replacement screen at this point, but its not an easy thing to find, Its been on back-order since december at the one place and every korg distributer, says they will order the part if i want it, which prob means waiting until 2012 when the world will end anyway, so does any one have an idea, who in the united states would have one in shop? or have the muse-heads successfully made this part an extremely rare commodity?

Hey, I had the same problem you all are describing with the kaoss pad 'cornering out' as I started calling it. The thing started thinking that I was constantly pushing the top lefthand side of the touch interface. Weird thing was that it happenned a lot last summer, then went away as the weather turned cool, then seemed to come back as soon as it started getting hot again.

Anyway, after reading suggestions on this forum, I decided to try and fix it myself, and really all I did was just take the thing apart all the way, wipe down some of the parts with winded and a paper towel, and then put it all back together, making sure that all the screws went in good and tight. And guess what? So far, so good. I haven't had any issues with it yet. Hoping that it stays this way.

Good luck to anyone else whose kp3 starts cornering out.

I don't know whether this will help, but I had a similar problem with the KPro - it would appear that I was continually touching the corner. It turns out that it was the transparent protective adhesive sheet that they supplied wth the KPro - I had applied it too 'tightly' (to avoid any airbubbles). All I did was remove the protective sheet and reapply - problem solved. If your touchpad has this sheet on it, it might be worth removing it.
