Sample volume - convert -99-0 values to db?

When editing a multisample, what's the relationship between sample volume values -99 through 0 and the equivalent decibel levels?

For example (not stating facts), I would think a value of 0 is unity gain. Perhaps a value of -10 equals -1db? Maybe -20 equals -2db? This is the information I'm trying to find.

Thank you!

It's probably a + / - percentage of the actual volume of the sample your working on. Either way I highly doubt anyone knows the answer to this other than the guy who wrote the OS. It's certainly not in the manual.

Thanks for your reply. I'll look into the percentages concept.

I thought I had seen (a year or two ago) a thread where there were a few equivalents listed. Certainly not a whole chart (which would be ideal), but at least a few values to use as a guide.

If anyone at Korg knows any equivalents, even a few numbers would be helpful. Thank you!
