Post by rtucker55 »

Just browsing the korg site and I saw this in the M3 support/downloads area.

11/16/2009 - USB MIDI Driver

MAC:Driver:KORG_USB-MIDI_Driver_1.0.8_For_Mac.zip
PC:Driver:Korg_USB_MIDI_Win_112.zip

USB MIDI Driver
This is the latest USB MIDI driver. This Windows driver is compatible with Windows 7, Vista & XP, in both 32 and 64 bit configurations. This Mac driver is compatible with Intel/Mac. We always recommend that you use the latest driver.

Mac version 1.0.8
Windows Version 1.12

Found on downloads tab, scroll to bottom of list. Have not checked yet but it appears this is fairly new.

Hi Rick,

This is indeed good news, thanks. My desktop computer is running Windows 7 64 bit and it's been such an improvement in speed of apps etc that I want to upgrade my music laptop as well. I'm just waiting 'til I know for definite that there are 64-bit Windows 7 drivers for all my music gear.

I've decided not to wait for Korg Firewire 64-bit drivers. I am selling the EXB-FIREWIRE card (any offers?) and interfacing audio via an M-AUDIO NRV-10. The M-AUDIO firewire driver supports Windows 7 64 bit.

I have no concerns about running the Korg M3 Editor software now that the MIDI-USB driver has been updated by Korg. I know the M3 Editor is 32-bit and will run in the x86 environment on a Windows 7 64 bit machine. Anyway I'm gonna test everything on my desktop computer before I finally commit to the upgrade of my music laptop.

Best regards,
Rob
