Update 1.1 - no answer from Korg [solved]
Hi All,
I bought an Oasys 88 in the US this year. I bought it on ebay from a pawn shop. The price was interesting but now i am having some trouble. The OASYS is in version 1.02. I tried to contact Korg US to get my 1.1 update Cds . No answer came. I tried to register on Korguser but i need to do a ownership transfer.
I can't fill the ownership transfer because the pawnshop refuses to give me the previous owner informations.
I am now back in my homeland (France, sorry for my english) and i can't have any answer from Korg FR neither !!
So i decided to ask help from other users ... I assume that korg is more helpful when you buy a keyboard from an official retailer.
By any chance does anyone have a electronic version of the 1.1 Cds ?
Any help/idea is gracefully accepted.

Re: Update 1.1 - no answer from Korg
I'm sorry that you feel that Korg has been unresponsive. In almost all cases, I've found that simply making sure that the appropriate contact information is being used fixes any support problems.
Since you are in France, you need to contact the Korg distributor for France. Their contact information is here:

I also generally recommend calling on the phone, so that you can speak with someone in real-time.
Best regards,
Dan

You NEED to get the OASYS registered in your name so you can access downloads at www.korguser.net.
I agree with Dan, call/phone Korg France and explain the situation:
1. you purchased from a pawn shop in the U.S.
2. the pawn shop will not give you the prior owner's information
3. Korg France should be able to access the owner's database at Korg user.net and potentially contact this person to verify the unit has been legally sold (not stolen).
If I were you, I would make sure Korg France worked with me to get the problem solved. You also need to be registered to activate any of the optional EXi expansions.

Thank you,
You'r right, it is probably better to reach them on phone.
I tried to call the korg/FR and they give me the number of the technical support but noone seems to answer the phone (everybody was probably on vacation
).
Anyway, as you said i am really stuck here. So i will give it one more try.
Happy new year

I also purchased my 88 O from ebay, It had 1.0 installed at the time of purchase. I called Korg customer service and requested the 4 disk set os version 1.3.3 and it arrived about 4 days later. You will need to get on the phone with korg product support to get the transfership done and then give them your public id so they can send you a reautuor cd to reauthorize your O to be able to accept the next version. you can jump right up to the 4 disk 1.3.3, then whe you are straight with registration on korguser.net you can download the 1.3.3a single disk and install that.
Give Korg a chance, they will get you taken care of, I can vouch for this.
