Korg always maintain a wall of silence, and then release something when they're ready.

Therefore, no-one other than Korg tends to know, and those that work with Korg on new releases undoubtedly sign NDAs.

anyway two years i think is not enough to launch a new generation of workstation...
maybe we may see in next moths announcement for a RADIAS / R3 evolution or something new in arranger series or in digital pianos

i hope korg realese new set of workstations and arrengers since all the (pa) prouducts and the m series was not a hot seller in the market as what korg promised that the m3 will make a revalution like the m1 when it was realesed back in the last century ..so i wish that korg can realese new synthesizer that can make revalution unlike the m3 that it maked a revalution in the mind of its designer only...

The M3 is selling pretty well. Where do you get this stuff?!

It is amazing McHale how much miss information and rubbish is written in this forum.

There seems to be a culture of generalisation and assumption but i'm not too sure what it is based on.

When people talk about a product not being a hot seller... how do they know this? I'd be interested Tarek why you think it's not a hot seller and who told you. Bet it was a retailer who was probably having a lean month.?

What constitutes a hot seller. How many units do we need to sell for it to be a hot seller.? 2.... 2000......20,000...? i'm not sure... it is what it is...

There will be a point where sales will decrease when everyone who wants one has one....

There was a great quote I read some time back; the Internet is real life, just on a screen. You can go down the local bar/pub, musical instruments store, camera store, car showroom or wherever and listen to people sharing their uninformed opinions.

Why should it be different on the Internet ? ;-)

In my experience this happens on ALL forums I've been to, regardless of the subject matter. It's not unique to the culture here.

Daz.

The Internet is more than just real life on a screen. It's real life *without consequences* on a screen. You can come online, especially in chatrooms and online forums, and act like a total idiot, and instead of having people ignore you or retaliate in other ways, they can't do anything since you're anonymous.

I know for a fact that Sam Ash lists the M3 as a Top Seller. I also know that when I bought mine from AMS, there were times I was waiting for new stock to arrive.

As long as Korg is making money on synths, they will sell them. Once they see the trend where the sales are dropping sharply, they will probably introduce a new one. Economics isn't THAT difficult. :)

Does anyone think that John Bowen's Solaris is going to outsell the M3? Not even close. But if it makes money, he will be successful.
