Hi all,
I am still looking for M1 sounds to put onto the trinity, I have an M1 and I have a trinity but I have not done any sound editing before.
I would like to get a copy of M1 sounds already created but failing that I would have a go my self at making them if I could copy the sounds from the M1, I don't know where to start.
Can anybody help?

Firstly you need the 8MB PBS-TRI playback sampler expansion option for the Trinity.
Then go to the Korg Italy site
here to download the M1 sample set for Trinity PBS-TRI for free.
You're looking for the download "Korg Trinity M1 factory.zip (2.687,5 Kb)". It's toward the middle-bottom of the page.
You will need to register on the site (it's free) before you download.
Best of luck.

Hi,
Thanks for that but I don't have the sampler expansion board and I don't think I will be getting it.
Is there another way?

You could always download the M1 set, and load just the PCG file. Then you'd have to edit each Program, changing the waveforms to any similar, relevant standard Trinity waveforms that are available.
Unfortunately it wont sound massively like an M1 though, as external sample-data cannot be used without the PBS-TRI option. You're limited to the standard waveforms within the Trinity.

Yep, unless you grab a PBS-TRI... or you sit your M1 next to your Trinity and attempt to emulate it as best you can via programming. Some patches that share generic waveforms may work very well, others not so. Hence suggesting loading up the M1 PCG file and selecting different waveforms where necessary.
But, the Trinity ain't an M1. Or an Access Virus. It's a Trinity!
And you already have an M1, anyway?

yes I know.
I have o1w sounds for the trinity also, I am just trying to add M1 too. I would like to start using the trinity live and I have lots of files sequenced on my computer which uses m1 sounds, so it would make life easy for me to set up the trinity in M1 fashion for some songs. The time I have spent trying to work it out I could have just re done the songs.

There is a PCG called M1 and piano, or something like that. I'll check when i get home. It has a lot of the M1 sounds in there and you don't need the pbs expansion board. Works for me just fine. If I find it, I will email it to you.
