Sharp,
Post some pictures after everything is ordered/built.
It appears your park gets 10,000 Euros?

Hi Martin.
Post some pictures after everything is ordered/built.
Yep... will do. There's one more event we are running next week (an auction) and that's it, we have enough to build the playground.
Chances are then the kids will be in flying around this Summer.
It appears your park gets 10,000 Euros?
It's 10K between 1st 2nd and 3rd.
So we get 5K, 2nd place gets 3K and 3rd place gets 2K.
It's an awful lot of money when you have to go from door to door and run events. So every penny counts and we are totally trilled to bits in getting the top prize. Thanks got voting for us. It will be the making of our little village.
Regards
Sharp.

Best news I've heard all day!
"When Irish Eyes Are Smiling, sure 'tis like a morn in spring.
In the lilt of Irish laughter you can hear the angels sing..."

Thanks guys.
It's going out to tender now with a closing date of the 16th of April, and then construction to start immediately.
You can read all the details of what we are doing here.
http://www.etenders.gov.ie/search/show/ ... =MAR146295
The Land we need was given to us for free, and the county council have done more of the ground work on the site for us already, so the 80K we have to spend all goes into building the playground and not a penny wasted in legal things, car parks, or anything like that. It's all for the building of the playground.
I'm going to take 1 photo a day during construction phase and then use Morphing software to make a video out of it rising from the ground. Should be really cool to see it popping up like that.
Regards
Sharp.

Cool, like the concert videos when they build the whole stage. Awesome.
Great news, Sharp. Looking forward to see the whole thing all built and being enjoyed by the kids. Amazing work you are doing there.

Hi all.
Just wanted to give you an update. Here's a photo of the playground under construction.
It's about a week or two away from being finished now.
If you want to see a high res version of the photo above,
click here but please note that this is very very high res. 9066 X 5420

Very cool, Sharp! Looks great for much childish mayhem. And a nice green Irish landscape too! I notice in the high res photo that no less than 20 cows' arses were captured.

Lovely backdrop.

Looks really great Sharp. Should be a big boon for your area.
My own little niece (3yrs old) loves our very similar local playground. It does kids the world of good to get active outside.
That going to be a deathslide on the left there? Thought they might be swings but they're too tall and narrow and different heights, which would figure for a deathslide.

I think it looks a bit like it might be a zip wire!
Looking great Sharp, and set against some beautiful Irish countryside. That has to be the first thing that struck me.
The 2nd was that your 'under construction' playground looks almost finished at first glance!

Hi all.
Just took 3 photo's of the playground with my 360 Degree Virtual Lens.

If you click on the image like you do in Google Earth, you can move it in any direction you like.
And here's a standard photo.
