Hope everyone down there is ok. For the comments in CNN's headline news it seems is just a big shake but nothing to fear. Please keep us posted on the Tsunami warning.

You didn't know anything.
Last sathurday at 3:37 local time, center and south of Chile had been hitted by an earthquake grade 8.8 on richter scale.
Many people between Curico and Temuco haven't water, phone or electricity because the basic services are down.
The center point of the earthquake was 90 Kms to the north-west of concepcion, a city called Cobquecura. One hour later a tsunami had literally erased many cities on the coast line: Iloca, Dichato, Curanipe, Pelluhue, Constitucion, Talcahuano, and many more. Latelly another tsunami hitted the Juan Fernandez's Islands on the South Pacific.
I had family near Concepción (a big city near the center-point of the earthquake) and i didn't know anything about them.
I'm fine. I live in Santiago (8 grades in Richter Scale). But we are having difficults on gasoline, food and transport. Of course, we are a little better than our people between Curico and Temuco.
Desde Santiago de Chile.

I do know Froilan, and thank God for your wellbeing. we've been pending from Venezuela on every aspect of the crisis since it happened last saturday. I keep reading and retweeting emergency phone numbers of the Chilean embassy in Caracas, I've called chilean friends asking for their families, and we will begin coping goods for aid once our local authorities tells us to do so, like we did with Haiti.
I didn't updated this thread because someone in the M50 forum already posted about the quake.
I pray for your prompt recovery and for the safety of your family. If there is anything I can do from here, please just let me know.
Take care.
