Sorry , didnt mean to press send there, was saying....tell me about insturments capable of preset key / scale playing

I currantly own.....

A Suzuki Omnichord - lets you set the notes of the touch pad to always be in tune with the chords played by the chord buttons

Suzuki Qchord - same workings but with midi , however the midi is weird at best and down right unusable in some instances.

A Mcnally Stumstick - this one is tuned to one key (D for mine) but is basically a 3 stringed guitar with all the "wrong notes" taken out ...played from open its a maojor scale capoed at the first fret its a minor...lovely ideas machine!!!

Harmonias - obviously you can buy these in one key etc

Hang drums - beautiful metal drums with a bass note and scale prefined.

Roland Handsonics - these come preset with most of the pitched instuments tuned chromatically, but with a little tweaking you can get each kit to play similar to a hang drum around one bass note / key in a defined scale

so basically thats where I am at......I LOVE groove play and getting into a zone where my hands "feel" the music by moving up and down the scale but without having to worry about hitting "bad notes".........I know this could all be rectified with good theory knowlage but thats not my bag, i want to play in the moment and stay on key.

so go one...what else can I use as a stand alone instrument or as a controller

ps.......I will be ordering a KoPro either way and using it to conrol the pitches of my microkorg and proteus 2000 sound module to play some smoking lead lines and riffs.

thanks

Phill

See the Korg DS-10 and DS-10 Plus. It has a separate Kaoss pad mode for each of the two synth parts, both can be set to key and scale for each of 16 patterns. Double that for the DS-10 plus running on the DSi or DSi XL.
