Easter egg?

Just wondering about the likelihood of an "Easter egg" (apt timing) in the Kaossilator Pro like the one in the original that doubles the maximum loop time... Or maybe someone already knows about one?
It would be a massive plus to be able to use 32 beats, even if it limited the amount of layers per bank or something.

If there is, it'll probably combine two loop banks into one, so that there's 2 banks of 32 beats instead of 4 with 16 beats. It won't work as in the original, because there is no undo functionality.
(Of course there is a undo in the form of saving the loop and recalling it later, but that is not very fast way to do it.)

Hmm... Maybe it will work like that but I'm thinking that if it really can record unlimited layers, surely it would be able to sacrifice some of that functionality for 32 beats...
Unless it really does just work on the same basis as a 100% feedback delay loop, then I suppose losing the unlimited layers wouldn't really make a difference.
As for the undo, I noticed that it doesn't have that but I was just hoping something else could be sacrificed, as I think one of the few disappointments is the actual maximum time of looping allowed and the BPM restrictions.

There has been nothing to indicate that the individual loop banks have separate layers, I think that it is just 4 delay loops.

I don't get it why they do not allow 32 or 64 beats.... reasons?

The reason is the usable memory inside the machine and the maximum loop time depending on that. That probably falls into maximum of 16 beats at reasonable tempos, you could theoretically have 32 or 64 beats, but giving that the memory size is constant one would have to sacrifice some of the loop banks or record at very high tempos.
This said, the machine could theoretically be programmed to select between
1) 4 banks of 16 beats
2) 2 banks of 32 beats
3) 1 bank of 64 beats
This would be a great added feature

I hope some geeks will find ways to let the kpro do what we want

unfortunately this isn't the sort of thing we could do without access to firmware code and probably some schematics and even then to be honest it would be a huge pain in the ass for anybody but korg to implement this feature. not to disappoint, but i'd bet that it won't happen.
