exchange patches with other microkorg xl users!! can i????

is ti true that i cannot use in my MicroKorg xl patches i ve downloaded from other MK (not sire if it is xl) users?
i ve followed instructions with the sys librarian...but nothing.

the fact that korg gave us all the presets of mk ,ms2000 means that its been easy to use them via the EDITOR in mk xl....is it easy to use(and exchange) and the patches we create as well??????

I think that MKXL buyers expect compatibility ....

please let me know if i can do it ...and HOW?

Yes, its simple. Use the software editor. You just save a library file or right click on a patch slot and save an individual file. Then send it to your friends.

You can get all the patches from your XL to an open library in the editor using the 'recieve all' option on the menu. Then you can edit, rearrange them, drag and drop patches from other libraries, then 'Transmit All', or save it, etc...

There is an upload section here at Korgforums, however I don't think there is a MicroKorg XL section at the moment.

You can't load original MicroKorg files to the MicroKorg XL because it is a different synth engine and thus has a different set of parameters.
