How to load a Multi Sample on Korg M3

Post by Anthony.karuna »

Can someone help me to load multi samples and convert that as a program on M3?

I was only able to load single samples and I wasn't able to take that anywhere but the Media page. Please help!
Cheers!

Thank you! I figured to load samples and create a Multi sample & then make it as a program.

I had an E-MU Sampler earlier, and I just had to load a program and all the samples are aligned and ready to use. Can I not load a program/patch without having to load/assign them individually on M3? (I use CDxtract to convert samples to Akai format). Many Thanks!
Cheers!

Once you create a multi sample and then convert it to a program everything is set and ready to go. Just remember to save your programs as a PCG file and your samples as a KSC file. The KSC has to be loaded each time the M3 is booted up. The PCG will stay in memory unless you write over it.

Thank you so much! I was able to load samples and make it into a Program. How do I add 2 multisamples to one program and make it velocity sensitive to trigger each multisample?
Cheers!

Just look in the OSC section. There are two OSC's. Each one can have up to four multi samples - each programmed to trigger at a different velocity. 8)
