What sampler would you invest in?

Returning to somewhere closer to the thread's topic (though not exactly spot on)...

I think what would have made the Kaossilator Pro nigh on perfect (other than 32 beat loops) would have been a program that acted like a MPC pads. It would split the X-Y pad into 16 "pads" (2x2 cells of the grid) and allow for 16 samples to be assigned to them from the SD card. They could either be assigned via the software or simply by filename (a certain filename will automatically assign the file to a certain "pad").

However, it didn't happen and probably never will.
