need help in laymen's terms PLEASE!!!

Post by jvassal »

How do I make a sequence song into a file that can be burned onto the korg's cd burner? I'm trying to read what to do but I'm lost. Obviously I'd have to make it into a certain length- how do I do that? as a "wave file"? can someone please help me out here.

Thanks.

Bounce the tracks to stereo. In Sequence mode, select the tab near the bottom called Audio In/Sampling.

Next, touch the drop-down menu. You will want to select "Bounce All Tracks to Disk." Before you do, check the time limit so the stereo sampling does not end before the end of your song.

The stereo recording will be in WAV format. You will need to save it with a file name in the Oasys directory. So when you touch "Bounce All Tracks to Disk," you will need to pick a distinct (but short) file name. DO NOT USE "NEWFILE," AS THAT WILL RECORD OVER ANYTHING CURRENTLY CALLED "NEWFILE."

Once you have the file name, press OK and the recording will start.

You will probably have to experiment to be sure that your WAV recording is made at the correct levels.

After the WAV file is made, you can copy it to an external hard drive, CD, or other memory device by going into Disk mode and selecting the Utility tab. Touch the file name (the WAV file) that you want to copy. Touch the drop down menu, and select Copy. You will be prompted to indicate the destination for the copying.

I strongly recommend having an external hard drive (like a Western Digital) permanently connected to your Oasys for file copying. I copy my WAV files onto the external hard drive and then load them on my Mac. I prefer to burn CDs on my Mac. If you are using the Oasys burner, don't put too many songs on a single CD.
