there's so little info about this that it seems like vaporware, and i've never heard of the company, but looks pretty awesome!

supposedly priced at 100 euros..

but it is "just" a controller - looks nice though. but won't "play away from computer". so it's not a KPro killer.
KORG needs more competition, they wouldn't be so haughtyif they had some real enemies for the KPro...

well for me, it looks like it can perform the only thing that i really want out of a kpro (triggering external synths) for 1/4 the price...

do you only want to trigger synths with the touchpad? wouldn't be the nanopad enough then?

The Nanopad needs a computer. Although a KPro just to trigger synths does seem a little bit overkill if you're not going to use any of the other KPro features.

heck i already trigger synths w/ my kp3 so it' not like i need this. i'm just saying that's the appealing feature to me. otherwise, the loopers seem about on par with what the kp3 offers and the synths simply can't compare to the other stuff i have so it's the touch screen that i really like...

as for the nanopad, i just hate all of this patching, it creates mega latency and it's kinda complicated to trigger notes with the kp3 (i assume the nano would be the same). then all your audio programs are trying to access all these midi ports being routed all over the place and stuff crashes and it's generally a mess.

(as i've already said, the kp3 is worth almost $400 to me just as a midi controller and nothing else, with all the cool stuff i've gotten it to do... the kpro is identical in that regard, so it's not that i don't think it's cool, but as a kp3 owner it seems to not do much that i can't do with my kp3...)

Hi,

You sound like you are using this very similarly what I wish to do.

basically I have a Fantom XR with lovely sax and flute sounds etc but I dont have the musical knowlage t jam with them ...

the KPRO fills a gap in this by allowing me to pick a scale and a key and just go "mad with the pad" (tm) lol

can a KP3 do this ( generate scales and keys across the pad to send to external midi devices) if so that would be a dream come true cos i dont need the loops or even the internal sounds.

or do you have ot put a computer inbetween the kp3 and module to "translate " the pad to scales and keys etc? if so thats a no go for me as I am all hardware.

thanks for your time on this.

also does the i-creative have midi outs or it is a computer interface only?

hey phil
no, you need a computer to do that unfortunately.
with the kpro you can do it without a computer, but you lose the sampling/looping aspect of the kpro while doing so...
