You need:
KPro
Cinch Audicable
(Your Head)
Free Bank
Howto FAST and less volume... (D=Free bank, A&B to be bounced)
(0. set level bank D to zero)
1. Input Vol ~25% (feedback! NO PEAK LIGHT!)
2. connect cinch line out to line in
3. Play A&B
4. Record bank D
-> you get a fast bounce, but it is quieter than the original banks.
Howto SAFE full volume (D=Free bank, A&B to be bounced):
(0. set level bank D to zero)
1. connect cinch cross, only ONE cable/mono (white out to red in)
2. inputvol ---- edit: rise input volume until you get constant green peak
3. Play A&B
4. Rec bank D (one pass)
[now you have one mono channel]
5. connect cinch cross vice versa (red out to white in) (feedback warning: unplug both first or switch to mic-in while pluggin)
6. Rec bank D again
-> now you got both channels, but mixed sides.
You might use this to create stereo/panning effects, too.
Maybe I make a video tomorrow...

Did this work?
Having used the KPro for sometime now, bouncing of banks is definitely needed.

I think if you're going to go to all that trouble... And do something that is not really implementable in a live setting... You may as well just save the Bank and reload it if you mess up.
And I think bouncing and resampling of banks would have been a very nice additional feature, though it doesn't seem to be bothering me that much because I'm using it for fairly calculated pieces and thinking about what is going to go where etc before I play it.
That approach doesn't really help if you just want to just add improvised things/sounds as yopu play though, so I definitely see the need for a bounce facility (at least).

This is a common scenario for me, I record my beat, bass, lead1 and lead2, I'm quite happy but when I play this for around 4 mins, I might want a 3rd lead.
I'd be quite happy to cutout leads as they go on, but I want them there all the time, but I could do with bouncing the bass to the beat bank (B -> A) which will free up B. I can then record new lead on B.
I'm new to all this music creation so it will take time for me to improvise and be confident without mucking up.
As for saving and loading, if it didn't cut the unit out form playing then great, I'd be really happy(ish) with that. Shame it cuts all playback.
Absolutely love conceptualising with the unit, and I will take my tracks into Reaper, not an issue at all. Just a shame it lacks the little niceties. I don't want to sound like a broken record!

It is a big shame that it cuts the sound to save and load.
And I'm not trying to make out I'm a master of it (or of anything at all) but it will take you time to get to grips with it and music creation.
As for your scenario, yes, it would be much easier if you could just bounce one of your banks to another but maybe you could try recording the bass to the beat bank in the first place, if you're happy to always have them as a pair. This is the thing, when you've sort of composed a song, you can work out which components (i.e. beat, bass, lead etc.) are always played together and then you know you can have them on the same bank. It's just learning to work with what you've got.
Unless you just want to buy another KPro. :p

You know, I could do with 8 banks! I'm wasteful as I'm too cautious! It will take time but I do feel that I'm getting to know the unit, and knowing which patterns work with what. One day I will be happy to record whatever over whatever
At the moment I try to keep things seperate as if I come up with something I can see potential in, then I'll take it across to Reaper. I find that if I go for a 2nd take of a certain rhythm I'm never happy, 1st time is always right, if you get my drift!?
Oh I wasn't impying you were a master, I was just pointing out my limitations, and quite huge they are too. I believe in the rule of practise, practise, practise and it's a fun ride with the KPro.

probably foolish to buy a second kpro just for that when a kp3 would add so much more power to the setup than a 2nd kpro, and also supports bouncing...
i figure you all already know that, just saying..

Haha, I'm not that much of a fool!
I was originally looking at the KP3 a couple of years ago but refrained from buying, KP4 will always be round the corner

ok now i see whats going on here...this tip unfortunately involves having to plug and plug stuff to make this work. Not for me because I like clean set ups...once it is set up that's it, that the rig.
Besides, you can bounce everything to the KP3. I think this is why the KoPro was designed the way it is making both units look like they belong together. And that being said I would wager that we would see an new firmware update for the KP3 long before we ever see a new KP4. The KoPro with the KP3 gives you everything you could ever want. Out side of "multi Effects" capability (more that one effect at a time in a chain) there really is nothing I see that could be done the the KP3.
I feel that KoPro's reuse in of the KP3 design chassis clearly says that Korg is quite happy with their KP3 as it stands.
I really hope that Korg is savvy enough to blow our minds with a new version 3 update.
