9 pin mini din replacement???

So I lost my mini din cable, ordered a new one and it isnt transmitting any info.
Does the radias/m3 only work with korg mini din cables, or did I just get a bad cable?

Just in case nobody answered already:
I had this same problem with my RADIAS, bought one on eBay that didn't have the cable.
Yes, the cable is proprietary.
I was able to bend the prongs in a random other mini-din and take off the metal ring-shield thingy, and that worked for the RADIAS, but I imagine the M3 is different, and uses all the connections.
I also ordered one at a local music shop (a KORG dealer but they don't really sell KORG keyboards...) and it took something like a week or two for them to figure out how to get one, and a month or two to actually get it. It ended up being about ten bucks but worked way better than my ghetto-rigged one.
