Hi,
Does anybody know if its possible to get the Korg Zero 4 to work with traktor scratch after converting the firewire output from the mixer to a USB input to the computer? The reason I ask is because I just bought a new computer and realized that it does not have a firewire port. Does anybody have any suggestion on how to connect the firewire out from the mixer to my computer? Thanks!

No, there is no such thing as a Firewire to USB converter.

Those that do exist are for video playback only, which uses a particular protocol as a lot of video cameras connect by firewire.

USB is slightly slower than firewire so there would be a data bandwidth bottleneck and it just wouldn't work, so USB-Firewire converters have never been made.

If you have a laptop with a PCMCIA (cardbus) slot, you can get a PCMCIA Firewire Card.

Similarly, on a tower you should have a slot free for a PCI or PCIe Firewire card.
