One Year Of M3

Post by samoo451 »

Hey Korgists, just some quick thoughts about my one year with the M3.

I pretty much bought the M3 for live playing and it has not disappointed.
I`ve been able to program my way into any musical situation so far. With the use of splits, zones, using the mixer to bring lots of sounds in and out, occasionally the pads for one hit stuff, it`s been a very worthwhile tool for me.
I do use a Nord Electro 2 to cover my organ sounds so if I had any negative feedback it would have to be the organ patches and leslie effect..Not bad but not up to what some of the dedicated organ hardware can do.

I`ve been through the M1 when it came out, the Trinty Plus when that came out and now the M3 ( missed all the Triton era stuff, was still using the Trinity.)

Also,I`ve slowly been working the Karma loops into a live context. If you set up loops and then just tempo tap whatever song you`re in, you could get really close to groove by re-triggering often. It`s helping with club-dance oriented stuff.

So there it is, hope it helped someone in deciding.
