(presale) Kaosillator Pro questions - DAW integration

Evening all,

Without meaning to tell you my life story, I've been pretty ill recently and I'm not often in full 'sit at my DAW workstation' mode ... I was looking something portable to play with for hospital visits, sofa hours ... etc ...

The Kaosillator Pro looks like a lot of fun and I could really see myself getting into it ...

BUT ... I'm really hazy on DAW intergration. For example, I kinda envisenged that when I do get back to my DAW, I'd like to create linear songs that use my standard VSTi's etc ... and have parts for the KP (which I could jam on etc)

But I'm hearing things like the midi clock doesn't respond to start/stop from the external DAW clock.

I really need to clarify if people are using this kit with their DAW, or is it really just a stand-alone piece of kit.

Thanks so much,

S.S.

I may not be 100% correct on this, but I think that when hooked to a computer the only thing synced is the tempo. The triggering of the loop banks/start of your loops are not synced. The manual mentions that you can send touch pad on/off messages via cc number. It also states that there are note on/off messages that can be sent for the loop bank buttons. However, I don't think that will turn them on and off? Since even in 'normal' mode the loop bank buttons actually send midi note data to external devices. I haven't tested this theory, so perhaps someone can shed some light on it.
