Getting original programs and combis back

Post by Pianomanjess »

I have only had my oasys for about a month now, love it! A couple days ago I downloaded a library of dream theater programs for it that someone put on these forums. All I want to do now is to be able to delete all programs and combis from this library and put all originals back on there.
If it is also possible I would like to leave the demos out of the library
thanks for the help

Hello.
Just reload the Preload data found in the Factory folder on your HDD.

Sharp.

Awesome, is there anyway to remove the Exs3, lac1, and mod7 demos from the main list of programs and combis?

Yes, press GLOBAL.
Touch the tab in the top right of the screen.
Select “Set Progarm – User Bank Type”
Select all the banks that the Exs3, lac1, and mod7 domes are in and set them to HD-1 type banks.

Touch OK to clear the data.

Sharp.

I highly recommend that you fill those demo banks with these wonderful free expansion programs (EXI Xpansion and HD-1 Xpansion sets) from

KORGUSER.NET.

They only use the stock engines, so no fading in and out.

+1... Very good advice.
Although I also think that it's a wasted opportunity not to have purchased the EXi / EXs expansions.

They are excellent and every OASYS user shoudld have their baby maxed out to the last.

Sharp.

I could not agree more. If your "O" is not maxed then you have spent "all of that money" for "some of the benefit." Spend a little more and get a lot more! Besides, you aren't JUST getting extra sounds...you are getting a big phat taste of what Oasys is sonically capable of and that might just breed some creative musical ideas or even some great programming notions (if one is inclined to program sounds).

As always,

I do also strongly recommed to get all extensions

- the LAC 1 gives you powerfull (analog) synth engines
- the mod7 is a very powerfull synth engine which allows you also to import thousands of DX7 sounds besides (there is a link in this forum to get them)
- and if you often use brass sounds (like me) the exs 3 is a "must have"

hope that helps
