Hi there.

If possible, we would love to help you Roberto, but your explanation is at best hard to understand...is it possible that you may make an mp3-recording of the error, and post it so that we may hear what you are speaking of?

Does this sound generate only when connected to a pa-system, or will the same error occur if you play with speakers only, and no connections other than sustainpedal and power?

If i read this my first thought is a defect RAM.
If you´ve 2 RAMS ins your PA1X maybe it´s a timing problem or one is defect.

Then the "normal" sound maybe sounds like "zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" or other strange noise.

I cannot imagin something different at the moment.

Like Wings said - try to make a MP3 but i´m relatively sure it must be something with samples goin´ wrong.

no i dont think its defect ram, im suspicious about samples.... he didnt explain very nice, but i was asking is it always happens on same midifiles, if it is so, that means that sertain midifiles are using some user instruments od drums from other set, if this is hapening on just some midi files, not on his old ones, then its only error in midi file ( not error, just order of instruments is for some other pa1x set).

@robertokarlo try this combination of keys when that error happens, and tell us did this help u

SHIFT + START/STOP

ooh yes thanks ..friendns

hello there .. thanks for your kind help ... wings, and neverkorgagain witted .... I think if you're right ("witted") I think it's a ram problem ... because sometimes when I give corrected with the button "pause" in the sequencer .. I have a 32 ram installed ... but ask this: how I can free up some ram? .. I think it is to limit full .. maybe you correct this error if I remove some sounds that I have installed in "user sounds" .. how could erase those sounds user? .. Some not all ok thanks soo much ...... friends ...¡¡ long live soccer yea¡¡

i had a similar problem a few years ago.
i had some ram modules in my computer box at home but with them i had this "feature".

then i bought 2 new from a shop - replace the old ones and the problem was gone - without deleting or re-installing anything.

where does you buy your second 16MB? is it an original Korg Part?

best wished

he doesnt have to own original korg ram for pa1x, because at pa1x ram is compatibile with every edo ram 16mb... i have at least 20 of this ram's...

try to go to SOUND then RECORD and go to sample and than DELETE and there is option DELETE UNALOCATED SAMPLES ... that will delete all samples that arent loaded into some user sound... Also u go to multisample and do same this... but to be shure, before doing this, u first CREATE BACKUP of your set!!! MEDIA / SAVE save all especialy pcm, because i think PCM isnt marked... so mark all components before u hit SAVE ALL....

if u plain to change ur ram modules...first find some old edo ram from computer shops... it is same like on pentium 1 or 2... just have to be 60 nanoseconds... dont have to pay those expensive with KORG name on it...

hi friends ....but

Have you tried changing the drum set?
Say if the midi is using Standard Kit RX try changing the drums to Standard Kit or Room Kit or some other to see if that fixes the problem.
{So open midi file in sequencer mode and re-assign the drums (Track10) to a different kit and then re-save.}

John

hi reuben ..thanks soo mucho for you answer ...already tried what you say. but still the same ... maybe 16mb memory is corrupted .. I do not know (I have two 16 mb ... (32mb) I think that's the problem ... but here in mexico almost nobody selling the 16 mb memory SIMM 72-pin non par edo (are completed) (almost no) ... big problem ....I've noticed that when I press the pause button. as that sounds good .. but after a while. ...¡¡ returns the same problem I have to turn the unit off and then back on again, then all is well consists only in this way. (off for a while and restarting the Pa1X)  ..well my friends thanks soo much ....
