i switched on my PA1X and it booted up in about 60 seconds which is wrong, it should take about 2mins 30 seconds. When i went to select a song (not from the song book ) i got an error message that read ' Warning Device is not found or unknown format '
I get the same error message if i try a full system restore !
When i tried to select a song from the song book i got the error message ' Song selection resource not found'.
I cant access any of the songs i have recorded and saved on my PA1X !!! Its the first time it has let me down . Can anyone suggest what might be wrong and how it can be fixed ?

Sounds like some kind of hard drive failure.

Could be as easy as controllercard-failure or cable is loose.
Take out your HD and try it as a slave in a computer, or use a IDE-usb-controller.

Hi Worth,
Have you tried loading a backup SET file?
It could be that your Songbook folder somehow became corrupted.
Also what happens if you connect via USB to a computer - is your Hard Drive visible and functioning?
Also check your PM.
Best regards,
John

Hi worth my friend,
like Wings said - build out the hard-disk - save all your datas on your pc.
Then try to install your complete system (incl. OS by pressing Intro 1-button(at disk 1 when normally you´ve to press "ok") - this erases SSD) - then try to load your BKP (if you only have a SET you´ve to load the BKP from Korg first).
If this not fix your problem maybe you´ve to change the hd or the cable.
If that not fix your problem you´ve to bring it to Korg service.
Good luck
Detlef

thank you for all your suggestions . I will try over the weekend to check the hard drive and let you know whats happening. A few times i have switched it on and it did read the hard drive and function normally so i believe it is possibly the connector that is the problem but will see.
Thanks again

i opened the keyboard up and emoved the ribon cable connector and the hardrive itself. I then reassembled the hardrive and firmly pressed together the connector ribbon to the hardrive pins and put the keyboard back together . It is worming fine now so it may well have just been the ribbon connector had worked its way free.
Phew !!!!
Thanks again for all your help
