How does a technoramus like me go about using an expression pedal to control the volume of a single timber of a combonation on my Triton Extreme?

I tried to simply plug in a cheapy Zoom FP01 Expresion pedal and go about setting the Global P2:Controller Foot pedal Assign to "Volume" and then to "Master Volume", but neither seemed to work. Am i missing a step or is the pedal at fault? Any assistance would be greatly apperciated. Thanks

If the pedal is not functional at all, it is not compatible with your Triton. This has come up many times with particular Roland pedals at the local (insert shutter) Guitar Center...

I bought the Yamaha FC7, and aside from having to reset the pedal position for each patch, it works perfectly. Let me check my global settings..*walks over to TE* Yeah. Mine is set to Volume. Ensure that you are pressing record to save your global settings each time you've changed a parameter for an accessory (the pedal should still work, but it's a good idea anyway).

As far as controlling a single timbre, I think the TE will automatically control whatever timbre is selected within the combination. Don't hold me to that.

Sharp? Someone? Any thoughts?

So, as far as pedal options. The Yamaha FC7 is available at B&H for $10 less than I paid at (ewwww) Guitar Center.

Hope that helps.
