I just got my m50-88, and am very new to this. Question, using the m-50 sequencer, without DAW, I can record one track, but then don't know how to record subsequent tracks while listening to track I just recorded. Any help is much appreciated.

Ok, I got the multitrack recording to work. Now I need to know how to use the drumtrack function in SEQ mode. I have read the parameter guide, but need someone to translate into simple English. Basically I would like the drumtrack to play the same way it does in program or combi mode (play along with me). Thanks.

You just need to set up a drum track in the SEQ. If you are recording using a COMBI or PROG you can select the drop down menu and just import the entire thing INCLUDING the Drum Track into SEQ mode.

If you aren't doing it that way, set one of your tracks (usually Track 10) to your desired drum kit. All you have to do once that is done is to hit "Page Select" and select "Arpeggiator/Drum Track." Then hit the "Drum Track" tab down the bottom and set the settings you want. Remeber to set the MIDI Out to the track that has the Drum Kit.

You can also sync the drum kit up with the recording beeps.

Hope that helps.

Damn, that was easy! Big learning curve for me....getting Sonar 8.5 Studio next week, that should be excrutiatingly fun. Thanks a million, John.
