hi. i have ableton as master and kp3 as slave via midi clock over usb...

when i move abletons tempo the kp3 does respond but very late and goes out of time...

also when i stop ableton and hit play again the kaoss doesnt realign itself, it just continues where it left off... any ideas on whether its possible to use midi to re-align?

thanks!

The KP3 doesn't follow song-position-pointers and there is (very sadly/very foolishly) no MIDI command to realign the samples.
You will have to realign them by hand each time you restart (and likely every now and again while your song is playing).

RUBBISH!!!

is it even possible to bespoke a bit of midi gear that does this for you?

korg support just came back to me with :

I am assuming you mean the KP3’s rhythm pattern programs get out of sync with your sequence in your DAW. Have you read what the manual suggests on page 13 with regards to this?

“This function will not synchronize sequence data with the KP3’s rhythm pattern programs. If you want to synchronize sequenced data and the KP3's internal rhythm patterns, you will either have to insert a Touch Pad On message into the beginning of each measure of your sequence data, or touch the touch pad at the beginning of each KP3 phrase to start the pattern.”
